Reason/Motivation for CTA (call to action):
• A direct response and initiative to counter high cumulative stress that can leave staff or caregivers feeling a sense of burnout and/or compassion fatigue.
• Negative result > highly trained clinical staff consider abandonment of career, decrease in qualified health care professionals and quality of patient care. Delayed emergency responses, indifference towards suffering, loss of energy.
• Positive outcome from addressing CTA > increase retention/recruitment of career healthcare professionals, build strong teams commitment, maintain highest quality patient care, and as an increased recruitment incentive. Increase empathy, revitalize caregiver's sense of compassion, and increase emergency reponse workers effectiveness.
